Now is a daily morning tv series that airs on NBC. The program debuted on January 14, 1952. It is the fifth-longest running American television show and from the world, and had been the very first of its genre on television that is American. Originally a program on week days, it expanded to Sundays in 1987 and Saturdays at 1992. The weekday broadcast expanded to three hours at 2000, and to four hours at 2007.
Today's expectancy was unchallenged by the other networks as it was triggered by ABC's Good Morning America. Now re took the Nielsen ratings lead the week of December 11, 1995, and held on that location for 852 successive weeks until the week of April 9, 2012, as it was defeated by Great Morning America just as before. Back in 2002, Now has been ranked #17 on TV Guide's 50 Greatest Shows Ever.
