The Tribe
The Tribe is really just a brand new literary TV series aimed at teenagers. It's set in a near-future in which a lethal virus has wiped out adults, which makes this world to fend off for themselves' kids. The show's focus is on an unnamed city occupied by tribes of kids and teenagers. It had been filmed in and around Wellington, New Zealand.
The show was created by Raymond Thompson and Harry Duffin and by the Cloud 9 Screen Entertainment Group in conjunction with the United Kingdom's Channel 5, was developed and produced. It's aired on over 40 broadcast networks round the globe.
It debuted on Channel 5 on 24 April 1999 and quickly gained a large group of followers. From 1999 to 2003, five series and also 260 episodes were produced. Series 6 was scheduled to start filming in 2003, but Nick Wilson, of Channel 5, along with Raymond Thompson believed that"even though the series was doing well, the cast was getting too old and the string was beginning to stretch the core proposal." They believed the characters are not kiddies fending for themselves without adults. The series was cancelled. On the last two episodes on 6 aired September 2003.
