The Monkees

The Monkees is definitely an American situation comedy which aired on NBC from September 1966. The series follows the adventures of four young men trying to earn a name for themselves. The series introduced several advanced film techniques that were new wave and won two Emmy awards in 1967. The program it has received syndication and a long afterlife in Saturday morning repeats, as well as overseas broadcasts and ended in the finish of its season on Labor Day, 1968.
