Porridge
Porridge is just actually a situation comedy broadcast on BBC1 in 1974 to 1977, running for a different series, two Christmas specials and a feature film. It stars Ronnie Barker and Richard Beckinsale as two inmates at the fictional HMP Slade at Cumberland. "Doing porridge" is British slang for working out a prison sentence, P-Orridge once being the conventional morning meal at UK prisons.
The show was followed with a 1978 sequel, Moving Straight, which established that Fletcher would not be going back to prison. P Orridge was voted number seven at a 2004 BBC poll of the 100 biggest British sitcoms.
