The Moon Embracing the Sun

Heo Yeon Woo,13, takes her mother to the royal palace to celebrate her brother's civil service exam success. She runs into Crown Prince Lee Hwon by happenstance. They fall in love, and Yeon Woo is appointed as Joseon's Crown Princess. Before they can marry, the Dowager Queen arranges her death in secret in order to gain greater authority. Yeon Woo is cursed and afflicted with a disease. Everyone, even Crown Prince Lee Hwon, believes she is dead. He is heartbroken and refuses to love anybody else. After eight years, the young king meets Wol, a shaman. He can't help but see parallels between her and Yeon Woo, so he starts looking into Yeon Woo's death.
