Men Behaving Badly
Simon Nye, the creator and writer of Men Behaving Badly, is a British sitcom. Gary Strang and his flatmates Dermot Povey and Tony Smart are the central characters in the story. In 1992, ITV aired the first episode. Six series were produced, as well as a Christmas special and three final episodes for the feature-length "last orders." The series was shot in and around Ealing, west London, with the sixth series' concluding scene taking place at the Cerne Abbas gigantic. However, the setting is implied to be South London, and there are numerous references to Surrey. Hartswood Films produced it, with Thames Television co-producing the first two seasons for ITV. They also helped with the creation of the BBC's third and subsequent series. Men Behaving Badly became a huge hit after being relocated to a post-watershed time on BBC1. At BBC Television's 60th anniversary celebrations in1996, it was chosen the best sitcom in the company's history. It also finished in sixteenth place in a BBC2 vote of Britain's Best Sitcom in 2004. It also took home the best ITV comedy award at the Comedy Awards, as well as the inaugural National Television Award for Situation Comedy.
