Set through the Silla dynasty,'' Sam Maekjong could be the son of the fallen king and queen regent that is present, Jiso, but he has been retained in hiding for security since he was a boy , when his dad was murdered. Through time the nobles failed and have tried to usurp power from Jiso, inducing her to grow after even reluctant to hand over the throne and wary. As her son comes of age, she creates at the very top band of youth that train in education and fighting, the Hwa Rang. Their existence cuts round the existent power factions and Sam Maekjong is because of their rankings under the name Kim Ji-Dwi that is fictitious, unbeknownst to Hwa Rang members.
