Naota is actually just a normal Japanese 6th grade boy (although only just a small cynical), but if his older brother leaves for America to play baseball, his brother renders his 17 year-old girlfriend Mamimi behind. Mamimi is currently sending mixed signals and advances and he doesn't know what to do about her. But to make matters even worse, Naota's world is wholly turned upside down if he could be run over by a woman on a Vespa. During their initial encounter, she hits him over the head with her guitar, and that causes a horn to cultivate out of the forehead. She calls herself"Haruko" and her existence affects Naota's lifetime to further insanity
