Earth: Final Conflict
Earth: Final Conflict is a Canadian science fiction television series developed under the supervision of Gene Roddenberry's widow, Majel Barrett-Roddenberry, and based on his story concepts. It was not developed, filmed, or aired before his death. Five seasons aired between October 6, 1997 and May 20, 2002. The show's initial title was Battleground: Earth, but it was altered because it sounded too similar to L. Ron Hubbard's novel Battlefield Earth. Majel Barrett-Roddenberry served as producer-in-chief. She also appeared in some early episodes as Dr. Julianne Belman. Barrett was in possession of plot and series concept notes compiled by Roddenberry; following his passing, these papers served as the basis for this series.
