Drawn Together
The American animated sitcom Drawn Together aired on Comedy Central from October 27, 2004 to November 11, 2007. Dave Jeser and Matt Silverstein devised the series, which combines a sitcom structure with a TV reality show scenario. Similar to those of MTV's The Challenge and VH1's The Surreal Life, the show's eight characters are a combination of famous and well-known personalities. However, Drawn Together utilized caricatures of well-known cartoon characters and stock figures. In addition, their personality features satirize those often observed in reality television programs. Comedy Central billed it as the first animated reality show, and in some episodes, the characters engage in tasks similar to those seen on reality television. The show was canceled after only three seasons, although it still has a huge fan base. The Drawn Together Movie: The Movie! was subsequently released on April 20, 2010.
