Call of the wild man is a American reality television series that airs on the Animal Planet network. The 3rd season of the series is currently airing. The series follows the exploits of Kentucky woodsman Ernie Brown, Jr., nicknamed"The Turtleman". Aided by his companion, Neal James, along with his dog Brown operates a nuisance animal removal firm, catching the animals without hurting them and releasing them . The series is filmed near the Lebanon, Kentucky, dwelling of Brown. Brown began catching snapping turtles at the age of 7 out of ponds nearby his home. He came to the interest of Animal Planet producers after a incident of Kentucky Educational Television's Kentucky Afield series that went viral and featured his bare handed turtle-catching techniques was posted on YouTube. After doing some initial filming and visiting Brown, network executives chose to create a season of the string with all the title The Turtleman of all Wild Kentucky. The title was soon changed to Telephone a mention of the distinctive yell of Brown that punctuates his activities, of the wild man. The series had been the most watched program in the fourth quarter of 2011 of Animal Planet and was renewed. Animal Planet has re-released the series using trivia information More Live Action along with bonus features.
