Bodyline
The 1932/33 Test cricket series between England and Australia is dramatized. In Australia, the English side (led by captain Douglas Jardine) employed a bowling style known as "leg theory," or more frequently, Bodyline. This strategy comprised bowlers bowling the ball directly at the batsman's body, resulting in several bruises and injuries for the Australian side, including a shattered skull for Bert Oldfield. At the time, the series severely harmed Anglo-Australian cricketing ties and caused widespread hatred and animosity against the English side in Australia.
