Alfred Hitchcock Presents is an American anthology TV show hosted by Alfred Hitchcock. The series included dramas, thrillers, and mysteries. By the time the show started on October 2, 1955, Hitchcock had been directing movies for over 30 years. Alfred Hitchcock Presents was chosen by Time magazine as one of "The 100 Best TV Shows of All-TIME." To cash in on the popularity of the TV show, a series of collections of short stories were published under the title Alfred Hitchcock Presents. Alfred Hitchcock Presents: Stories They Wouldn't Let Me Do on TV was the name of a book that had stories that censors wouldn't let be made into TV episodes. Some of the stories in this book were eventually made into TV episodes.
