Twice Round the Daffodils
Filmmaker Gerald Thomas helmed the British comedy drama Twice Round the Daffodils in1962, which starred Juliet Mills, Donald Sinden, Donald Houston, Kenneth Williams, Ronald Lewis, Andrew Ray, Joan Sims, and Jill Ireland. Upon their arrival at the hospital, a fresh set of tuberculosis patients immediately fall in love with one of the nurses. Screenwriters Patrick Cargill and Jack Beale adapted their piece Ring for Catty into the film. The 1959 film Carry On Nurse was also based on the same play. Twice Round the Daffodils has a strong cast and crew that make it reminiscent of the Carry On films, but it is not a part of that franchise.
