The Summit

The Summit is really just a 2012 documentary film about the 2008 K2 disaster. It combines documentary footage using recreations of the events of the 2008 K2 disaster. Along the path to and from the summit, eleven climbers died during a brief span of time in climbing history, creating one of the catastophes. Much of the footage was captured from Swedish mountaineer Fredrik Sträng. Sträng was intending to do some Documentary which was aborted due to the fact that he didn't reach the summit. The footage was valuable to simply help resolving since all the climbers had different stories about what happened, what really did happen.
