The Secret of Roan Inish

Upon turning ten, Fiona is sent to live with her grandparents in Donegal, Ireland. Her ancestor's marriage to a "Selkie" (seal who can change into a person) has long been a legend in the area. When Fiona sees a naked boy on the deserted island of Roan Inish, she is compelled to investigate. Years previously, her baby brother was carried away at sea and never returned.
