The Reader

The story of Michael Berg, a German lawyer who, being a teen in the late 1950s, had an affair with an older woman, Hanna, who then disappeared and then resurface years later as one of those defendants in a war crimes trial originating out of her acts being a concentration camp guard late in the warfare. He realizes that Hanna may be hiding that fact and is illiterate.
