The Enchanting Phantom

A timeless love story about a scholar who falls in love with a female ghost and attempts to set her free from a demon's perpetual slavery. Ning Cai Chen, a scholar, travels to the capital to sit the state exams. He spends the night in Lan Ruo temple along the road, where he meets and falls in love with Nie Xiao Qian, a ghost who seduces men in order to take their life force as an offering to Lao Lao. Ning Cai Chen and Nie Xiao Qian marry after much battle, but Lao Lao plots to marry Nie Xiao Qian to the Heishan Demon. Ning Cai Chen seeks the assistance of demon hunter Yan Chi Xia in his despair.
