The Deeper You Dig
After a roadside accident, the line between the living and the dead blurs for a mother, a daughter, and a stranger. As a family project, the movie was written, directed, and made by John Adams, Toby Poser, and their daughter, Zelda. They also star in, direct, and write the music for the film. The family filmmaking team uses their life in the Catskill Mountains to create a unique icy tone that shows how resourceful they are. The skeletal forest makes you feel like you're in a dream, and as the film moves into the avant-garde, its blue-toned cinematography pulls us into the sea of the subconscious.
