The Country I Come From
Eric, a young man in his carefree years, travels to a sleepy town in the countryside on the evening of Christmas Eve. Here, he comes face to face with Julien, a bar pianist who is an exact double of himself. Julien is hopelessly smitten with the lovely waitress Marinette, but he cannot bring himself to make any amorous advances toward her. By acting as though he were Julien, Eric makes the decision to facilitate the development of genuine affection between the two of them. In the meantime, Eric's enormously wealthy uncle has dispatched his henchmen to bring him back home so that he can spend Christmas with his family. This will allow Eric to celebrate the holiday with his loved ones.
