The Blockhouse
Slave laborers who had been conscripted by the Nazis to assist in the construction of their coastal defenses in 1944 find themselves imprisoned in an underground bunker when the Allies make their initial assault on Normandy on D-Day. They discover enormous supplies of food, but there are not enough candles for everyone. During the time that they were imprisoned, they experienced an increase in boredom, illness, and jealousy, which paralleled the slow dimming of the light. Drawing Inspiration from Jean Paul Clebert's Novel "Le Blockhaus"
