Strike

The film depicts a hit in 1903 by the workers of a mill in pre-revolutionary Russia, along with their subsequent suppression. The film is most famous for a sequence near the end in the violent setting down of this strike is cross-cut with footage of cattle being slaughtered, although there are several other points from the movie at which animals function as metaphors for the states of assorted individuals.
