Strangled

This psycho-thriller is based on true events and takes place in 1960s provincial Hungary, when the little town of Martfü is shocked by a series of horrific killings. A crazed killer is on the loose, slaughtering young ladies as an innocent man is falsely imprisoned and sentenced to prison for crimes he could never have done. When a determined detective arrives on the scene, he quickly gets consumed with the case, despite the prosecutor's urge to see a man hanged. We soon find ourselves embroiled in a web of complicated plot and terrifying drama, trapped in the claustrophobic social, political, and psychological realm of socialist Hungary.
