Oulage has everything figured out: on the eve of the New Year, at the stroke of midnight, he will finally kiss Brigitte, the girl with whom he is head over heels in love. In light of the fact that Brigitte is throwing a costume party, this will be the appropriate time. Oulage has everything under control, with the exception of the fact that Brigitte has invited a group of truly parasitical friends, including an old girl friend of Brigitte's who never leaves her side, a manic-depressive police officer, a paranoid psychopath, a cannabis-addict suffering from withdrawal pains, a stunning Cuban woman on the hunt for immigration papers, and many others who do everything in their power to ruin Oulage's life.
