Ésimésac
Saint-Élie-de-residents Caxton's are so hungry that they agree to work together on a garden with Ésimésac. By pooling resources, farmers can increase their individual harvests. While this is happening, plans for a new railway line that will link Saint-Élie-de-Caxton to the rest of the world and usher in an era of prosperity have been discussed. Riopel, the burly blacksmith, gets to work building the railroad track and persuades the townspeople to invest in his venture so that they may get back to work instead of wasting time in the garden. As expected, Ésimésac's massive endeavor fails miserably due to the presence of metal. But, seriously, can he halt development?
