Escape from Sobibor
During WWII, the death camp in Treblinka had an escape, inducing the Commandant in a similar camp in Sobibor to vow (actually sabotage ) his camp will never feel the exact same task. However, those have been captives, the Jewish laborers that was spared out of the ovens, also knew they were on borrowed time and their only hope was to flee... the only question was how exactly to doit. On October 14, 1943, members of the camp underground resistance succeeded in killing many of guards and eleven German officers. Of the 600 inmates in the camp, roughly 300 escaped, although most were later recaptured and murdered. The escape forced the passing camp to close, dismantling it and planting a woods.
