Menahem Golan and Yoram Globus were two movie-obsessed cousins out of Israel who became Hollywood's ultimate gate crashers. After their own skewed version of the excellent American Dreamthey ratcheted up its production to eventually become so synonymous with schlock that the very sight of its logo made audiences boo throughout the 1980s -- and also bought an already low-rent new -- Cannon Films.
