Campbell's Kingdom
The story is based on Hammond Innes's novel of the same name. As a result of the passing of his grandpa, Bruce Campbell (Dirk Bogarde), inherits "Campbell's Kingdom," which is located in the Canadian Rockies. He has been given a prognosis that is not specific regarding the length of time he has left to live, so he makes the decision to search for the oil that his grandfather believed was present on his land in order to clear his family's name. His grandfather had been wrongfully found guilty of fraud when his oil exploration company went bankrupt. Owen Morgan, played by Stanley Baker, is the leader of a business that is currently building a dam that, once finished, will cause the "Kingdom" to be submerged in water. To demonstrate the presence of oil before the construction of the dam is finished is a race against the clock.
