Bandits
On the same day as Jean Gabin's death, Simon Verini's wife is murdered by a kidnapper who also steals a fortune in gems from Cartiers. (Simon was guarding the diamonds for a young group who looted Cartiers; he believes they are responsible for the murder.) He is falsely accused of the crime and sentenced to ten years in prison, during which time he writes to his daughter, Marie-Sophie, who is eleven at the time. After being released, he reconnects with Marie-Sophie and the young thieves, vows vengeance, and is immediately apprehended once more. She is perplexed when one of the young criminals falls for her, since she has no idea what to make of her father and retreats to her Swiss fiancé. Is it feasible to find a solution when a crime affects both families and romantic relationships?
