A forty-something Parisian named Jonas still has a burning affection for his ex-girlfriend Léa. After she rejects him, he goes to the café downstairs. He skips everything to send her a long love letter. A desperate attempt to win her back evolves into a vivid reflection on his life. Jonas faces his past relationships, uncertain future, and himself over the course of a day with the help of a wisecracking bartender and neighborhood patrons.
