Painted Woman
'Painted Woman,' based on the novel "Mustanger and the Lady" by prolific western novelist Dusty Richards, tells the story of Julie Richards. Julie is a woman of her time, passed from hand to hand in a web of abuse and prostitution that eventually lands her at Kyle Allison's feet. Allison, a wealthy businessman in Goldfield's old west, took young Julie into his home and turned her into his trophy. This life came with the benefit of being cared for, but at the expense of more abuse. As Julie's time with Allison draws to a close, she is given two options for escape, both with men who are very different... PAINTED WOMAN is divided into two chapters that mirror each other in Julie's life. Julie meets Frank in the first chapter. It is primarily told at night in Goldfield. The Mustanger is the subject of Chapter Two. It takes place primarily during the day in the wilderness.
