Nothing Is Truer than Truth
"Nothin' Is Truer Than Truth" is a movie about Edward de Vere, Seventeenth Earl of Oxford, who was an A-list party boy on the continental circuit. He spent more than two years in Venice to learn about the art of commedia dell'arte and to get ideas for Shakespeare's plays from his travels. During the film, we see the places where De Vere visited in 1575 and 1576, when he wrote THE MERCHANT OF VENICE, OTHELLO, ROME AND JULIET, and TWO GENTLEMEN OF VERONA. There are some well-known Shakespeare scholars and actors and directors in the movie. They say that De Vere's bisexuality is the reason for the pseudonym Shake-speare, and they show how that happened.
