Galileo
When a new pupil challenges him, tutor and theorist Galileo uses growing telescope technology to find conclusive proof that the earth is not the center of the universe. Science, on the other hand, is a threat and enlightenment is a luxury in a repressive society dominated by an uneasy alliance of aristocracy and clergy already weakened by the Plague and the Reformation. Galileo must choose between his own life and the restless scientific curiosity for which he has forsaken family, friends, and fortune.
