A trail boss is recruited by the same town's prominent resident to bring their cattle to Fort Clemson after serving a five-year prison sentence for enabling his men to demolish a town in a drunken frenzy. A competing cattle baron employs the cattle driver to lead his herd, which further complicates the situation.
